# Market Data

The **Get Active Assets**  [Broken link](https://docs.pearprotocol.io/api-integration/broken-reference "mention") endpoint returns a list of basket/pair markets that are **currently being actively traded** on the platform. This includes:

* Basket/pairs with ongoing trading activity
* The **top 20** pairs showing the largest changes in price ratio
* Platform-highlighted basket/pair markets

Because the number of possible basket/pair permutations is extremely large, the endpoint **only returns actively traded markets**. All other basket/pairs remain fully tradable, but they are **not included** in the response unless they have recent trading activity.

#### Volume & Open Interest Data

Volume and open interest are calculated **only for the actively traded basket/pairs returned by this endpoint**. These values reflect recent trading activity but **do not represent the full liquidity** of a given basket/pair. Actual liquidity is determined by the **Hyperliquid engine's liquidity model**, which may differ from the activity metrics shown.
